Infrastructure Software Developer

We are looking for a new colleague to join the IT Group Services team, which is functionally driven and works for the infrastructure services of EDT GmbH.

In this role you will…

• Develop and maintain high-quality Golang code within a Kubernetes environment.
• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes custom resources
• Implement OAuth2 authorization concepts to secure APIs and services.
• Apply OIDC authentication principles to enhance application security.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, including crossplane on Kubernetes, to continuously improve our infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and hyperscaler platforms.
• Utilize Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure resources on various cloud platforms.
• Contribute to custom Terraform provider implementations
• Conduct isolated tests of Kubernetes resources to ensure reliability and scalability.

What we expect from you?

You don't have to be Superman but there are a few qualities / knowledge we need from you ...

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in Golang development.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem, including experience with writing Kubernetes operators.
• Strong understanding of OAuth2 authorization concepts.
• Hands-on experience with OIDC authentication implementation.
• Familiarity with crossplane on Kubernetes is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of hyperscaler platforms, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
