E.ON Energy Markets area is a part of the E.ON Group headquartered in Essen, Germany. Its main purpose is to access wholesale trading markets and commercially optimise around the commodity demand of E.ON's pan European regional units. Additionally, E.ON Energy Markets bundles the associated risks and performs services and additional value-creating activities. This includes the provision of portfolio strategies, analytics, risk management concepts and business activities in the field of data and information processing.

Then join our international Modelling, Analysis and Strategy team within E.ON Energy Markets area as a Markets Analysis Hub Leader (f/m/d) based in Prague and help us to build-up and mature our team in E.ON Energy Markets Hub in E.ON Česká republika s.r.o. in Prague.
In this role you will
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs that monitor commercial performance, energy market dynamics, and retail portfolio health, delivering actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Leverage deep knowledge of energy markets — including wholesale pricing, regulatory changes, and supply/demand dynamics — to provide timely, data-backed intelligence for trading and retail strategy.
- Identify gaps in data availability and quality; lead initiatives to improve data pipelines, governance, and accessibility across MQaFA and the wider EEM team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data-driven approaches into existing workflows, improving operational efficiency and supporting more informed commercial decision-making.
- Present insights clearly to non-technical audiences and provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to junior MQaFA analysts to build team capability.
- Monitor developments in data tooling, energy market regulation, and analytical best practice, championing early adoption of techniques that strengthen MQaFA's competitive analytical edge.
What we need from you
- proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (Python, R, SQL, Power BI)
- experience building and maintaining dashboards and performance reports
- strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with a commercial lens
- proven track record of translating complex datasets into actionable business insight
- familiarity with data pipeline and governance best practices
- strong knowledge of energy markets — wholesale trading, retail tariffs, and regulatory frameworks
- ability to contextualise data findings within broader commercial and market dynamics
- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an energy or commodity trading environment
- high attention to detail; committed to delivering quality outputs under commercial time pressure
