Workplace Platform Engineer - M365 Expert (m/ž) 1

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

As a Workplace Platform Engineer within the Core M365 Platform team, you will be responsible for technical ownership, lifecycle management, and secure enablement of Microsoft 365 foundational services. You will operate across tenant environments and product segments, ensuring platform stability, compliance, and user enablement without direct responsibility for training or adoption.

• Tenant Ownership
  • Operate and govern the following tenant environments:
    • Production Tenant (eonos) – for all internal and guest users.
    • QA Tenant – for testing and validation of changes and features.
    • Dev Tenant – for development and experimentation
  • Manage identity provisioning via Microsoft Entra and ensure E5 licence assignment for internal users.

• Productivity Enablement Ownership
  • Governance and maintenance of M365 Apps for Enterprise on all device types.
  • Configuration and management of Cloud User Policies tailored to E.ON stakeholder requirements.

• Productivity Enhancement Ownership
  • Govern and support M365 Copilot capabilities across supported applications, ensuring responsible enablement and lifecycle management in alignment with platform governance standards.
  • Enable and maintain platform services including Planner, To Do, Whiteboard, Clipchamp, Empower, Purview, Viva Insight: Personal, and Places, ensuring seamless task management, collaboration, and hybrid work coordination.

• Maintain platform operations and lifecycle via:
  • Microsoft Evergreen Initiative, DSC pipelines, and GitLab integrations.
  • Monitor drift, policy compliance, and coordinate platform releases.
  • Support technical enablement via MyGenius, MyHelp, and SNOW.
  • Maintain Confluence documentation and facilitate roadmap workshops.
  • Maintain oversight of additional Microsoft applications under Core M365 scope, ensuring technical ownership, policy compliance, and operational readiness across all enhancement tools defined in the platform strategy.

What we need from you:

• bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field alternatively profound track record in the targeted field 
• proven experience with Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise and tenant operations
• strong understanding of Purview, Entra, and Defender for security and compliance
• familiarity with task management and collaboration tools like Planner, To Do, and Whiteboard
• experience in lifecycle automation, policy enforcement, and platform governance
• ability to work cross-functionally and support technical enablement and adoption
• full proficiency in English and German is a plus
