Your Role – meaningful & rewarding​ 

• You team-up with our data scientists, data engineers, business and infrastructure experts to design and develop data/AI-based solutions that can scale and have global impact within the E.ON corporate.
• You stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data science, architecture and engineering.
• You evaluate new data technologies to efficiently integrate latest machine learning solutions and analytical modules into operational cloud services.
• You increase efficiency and time-to-market by implementing re-usable artificial intelligence models, and data-driven solutions.
• You enhance analytics capabilities by extracting information from diverse sets of structured, unstructured, batch and streaming data
• You ensure high quality and stability through agile processes and peer code reviews
• You share your ideas and can convince to go new ways

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded​  

• First professional experience in a data scientist or data engineering role
• Degree/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Hands-on coding experience in Python for large data sets; fluency in other programming languages is a plus
• Knowledge of Machine Learning frameworks like scikit-learn, PyTorch, Azure ML, etc., and experience in time series and statistical data analysis, optimization algorithms, and building models in Python
• Proven experience in building production-grade solutions based on Foundation Models (ex: LLM), including cross-environment evaluation, fine-tuning, agentic patterns, and data integration beyond text and images
• Familiarity with private cloud or on-premise Foundation Model deployments or state-of-the-art processing of image or Lidar data is a plus
• Lean problem-solving mindset with intuition and critical thinking to leverage model registries like Hugging Face and AI tools
• Passion for mathematics, statistics, and problem-solving with a strong motivation to deliver valuable business solutions
• Experience with data transformations in Spark or Databricks is ideal
• Knowledge of implementing end-to-end pipelines in cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Preference for working with git and CI/CD flows; knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and explanations to the audience
• Enjoys collaborating internationally and across cultural borders
• Fluent in English and German
• Extensive knowledge of the energy industry is a plus
• Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Graphana, Streamlit is a plus
• Background in consulting is a plus
