About the team

The chapter represents all experts who deliver data and AI engineering capabilities to our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s MLOps & AIOps tech stack and deliver a high level of data delivery & model automation. Our team operates in an international environment, providing you with the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and contribute global perspectives to your work. You will collaborate with agile and supportive colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge and experience.

The Data Search Architecture is empowering E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Architect (f/m/d), your define the overarching search architecture for E.ON's applications and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability in alignment with organizational objectives. You oversee the design and implementation of the search infrastructure, including defining data ingestion processes. Additionally, you are responsible for defining search relevancy strategies, optimizing performance, and providing guidance on best practices for search feature development to meet the specific needs of E.ON and its users.

meaningful & challenging - Your tasks 

• Design and architect enterprise search solutions that meet business needs, utilizing Lucene based search technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their search requirements and translate them into technical requirements for enterprise search solutions
• Develop user journey maps that capture various touchpoints, and architect search solution to ingest data from data sources like Databases, SharePoint, ftp servers, websites crawling etc.
• Design solutions and strategies for near real time search, Batch data ingestion and data crawling, and define and implement ETL layer to enrich data and optimize search results for business needs
• Develop and implement search user interfaces, including search forms, facets, and filters
• Participate in search solution testing and tuning, including performance optimization and load testing

authentic & ambitious - Your profile 

• Bachelor's or Master´s degree in Computer Science, Information technology, or a related field as well as multiple years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise search solutions
• Strong experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, and/or Microsoft Search and a solid understanding of search relevancy, indexing, and search algorithms
• Understanding of keyword search, fuzzy search and vector search as well as search UI design and development
• Experience with integrating search solutions with search client applications and data sources, CMS systems etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident and engaging communication with internal and external partners
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Team player (f/m/d) with an independent and structured working approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
