We are hiring for a (Senior) Backend Developer (Java/Kotlin) (f/m/d) to work in our Engineering team.

Tasks

• Develop E.ON One's product platform using Kotlin and Spring, leveraging cloud-native technologies. 
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and architects to create software solutions that revolutionize the energy industry. 
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable backend services that integrate seamlessly with third-party services and APIs. 
• Participate in code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and continuously optimize application performance and security. 

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development with strong expertise in Java/Kotlin. Knowledge of Python and Go is a plus. 

• Proficient in developing modern backend services with the Spring framework and well-versed in API technologies (JSON, REST, HTTP, OIDC, gRPC). 

• Familiar with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies. 

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud native services. 

• Knowledgeable about best practices in software security. 

• Passionate about the energy domain and eager to contribute to the energy transition. 

• Comfortable working in a start-up-like environment, taking ownership of tasks, and communicating effectively. 

• Fluent skills in English; German and other languages are considered a plus.
