We are hiring for a Business Analyst (f/m/d) to work in our Corporate Development and Partnerships team.

Tasks

• Ownership: Lead the scouting function and support the team in reaching its inorganic growth objectives.  

• Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate key industry players and emerging trends. 

• Strategic Presentations: Prepare and deliver documentation (ppt & word) to support key operational objectives, strategic initiatives, and inorganic growth activities. 

• Financial & Commercial Due Diligence: Assist in financial and commercial due diligence and preparation of transaction memorandums and decision papers. 

• Valuation & Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial DCF models and apply multiples to support in the valuation of potential targets.  

• Workshops: Leading the planning and organization of project-related meetings and workshops. 

• Manage: Coordinate a team of 2-3 working students to assist you in reaching your objectives. 

• Networking: Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders. 

• Event Participation: Attend and contribute to relevant industry events and conferences. 

• PMO: Lead and coordinate the Project Management Office on Special projects and deals 

• Learning: Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in scale-ups venture capital, M&A activates, and energy industry news.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or related fields. 

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience at a top strategy consulting firm, investment bank, or similar environment with strong focus on strategy, corporate development and M&A. 

• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of SaaS business models, the energy tech landscape, and the energy industry. 

• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail and proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. 

• Commercial Acumen: Strong Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities. 

• Mindset: You are brutally candid in sharing your opinions and concerns, able to change your opinions given new information, and able to navigate an environment of constant uncertainty. 

• Initiative and Responsibility: Proactive, pragmatic, and capable of taking ownership of tasks and projects. 

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and proficiency in German is needed.
