  • Financial risk management framework: Define, implement and coordinate the Group-wide financial risk management framework, including the development of models and methods to measure and control interest rate, foreign exchange, liquidity and banking risks across segments and countries, as well as Group-wide hedging strategies
  • Hedging strategy and risk guidance: Set strategic guidelines for hedging financial risks across the Group, provide expert guidance on risk measurement and evaluate hedging strategies in close collaboration with functions such as Accounting, Tax and Legal
  • Asset management governance: Establish governance structures and strategic guidelines for Group-wide asset management activities, ensure compliance and manage investment strategy, performance measurement, limit monitoring and reporting to the CFO, Treasury Committee and board members
  • Liquidity planning and funding strategy: Design, implement and coordinate the Group-wide liquidity planning process, continuously analyse the Group’s funding needs and funding capacity, and develop appropriate funding strategies in cooperation with Treasury and Corporate Finance
  • Policy compliance and reporting: Ensure that Group Finance Treasury complies with Group Finance policies and the financial risk management framework, including internal and external reporting to the E.ON Board and other stakeholders
  • Pension asset and liability planning: Manage the Group-wide planning of pension assets and liabilities, conduct scenario analyses and deliver key inputs for planning and reporting across the Group
  • Financial planning and reporting: Design and implement processes for analysis, planning and forecasting of Group-wide interest results and key financial ratios (e.g. Economic Net Debt)
  • Treasury systems and process efficiency: Manage treasury systems and drive continuous improvement and digitalisation to enhance process and system efficiency

 

 

A convincing background

 

  • Academic qualifications: Excellent academic degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or similar
  • Industry experience: Experience as a member of the management board of a pension vehicle and/or with investment structures in Luxemburg 
  • Subject-matter expertise: Deep expertise in financial risk management and strong knowledge of financial markets and the energy sector
  • IT and digitalisation: Strong affinity for IT systems and proven experience in digitalizing processes
  • Financial knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and controlling practices
  • Leadership skills: Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to align specialist knowledge with Group Finance strategies
  • Analytical mindset: Highly analytical and solution-oriented thinking, paired with excellent cross-cultural awareness and a trustworthy, integrative personality
  • Personal strengths: Strong self-motivation, team spirit, assertiveness, and resilience
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication abilities, including active listening and effective questioning
  • Language proficiency: Business fluent in both German and English
