Within System Operation, we define the technical requirements for system operation for all E.ON DSO, including control systems and connected OT systems as well as maintenance and operating processes in Energy Networks.

We are looking for an Executive Role as a Vice President System Operation (f/m/d) to join our E.ON SE team as soon as possible. If you are interested, please apply by March, 28th. 

A job that inspires

• You are responsible for the strategic development of system operation and the definition of a corresponding future target picture for all electricity and gas grids in Energy Networks (EN)

• You steer group-wide implementation projects for new standards and the fulfilment of new regulatory requirements in system operation for all E.ON DSO 

• You enforce strategic decisions in the area of system operation towards top leadership levels, like the management boards of E.ON SE and the EN business units

• You provide common technical and operational standards and excellence, and drive the development of processes and procedures for secure and digital network operation further

• You ensure strategically optimized observability and controllability for a smartification in all grid levels throughout EN

• You take steering responsibility for the group-wide standardisation of the two EN core processes "Operate Networks" and "Maintain Networks"

• You ensure development and operation of a modular and cybersecure OT platform

• You ensure crises and business continuity management for the grid business and steer risk exposure in system operation in all E.ON DSO 

A convincing background

• You have a master’s degree in engineering or a comparable/equivalent degree

• You have experience in system operation or similar technical experience in Energy Networks and an extensive knowledge of the technicalities of electricity and gas distribution networks

• You are experienced in technical risk management as well as crisis and business continuity management

• You have a proven track record on leadership and assertiveness, and you are able to lead by common vision and strategic thinking in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams

• You are an excellent communicator and negotiator with the ability to convince stakeholders on all levels, especially on management board level

• You are passionate about improving efficiency continuously and driving change and innovation

• You show a strong customer focus as well as stakeholder orientation

• You are fluent in German and English, additional relevant languages are a plus
