We are looking for a Working Student in RF Application Engineering (f/m/d) to join our E.ON Group Innovation GmbH team as soon as possible. If you are interested, please apply online.

Develop conceptual plans for testing off-the-shelf analogy and digital sensors
-
Evaluate and validate test solutions for RF, microwave, and communication systems using our new RF sensor system, including signal analyzers, signal generators, and phase noise measurement systems

Conduct comprehensive testing of various probes and sensor elements provided by our external partners

Familiarize yourself with the existing RF electronics developed by our external partners and prepare to derive new applications from them

Develop and design new antennas for evaluating real and complex values from liquids
-
Collaborate with external partners to gather, analyze, and develop sensor concepts and RF probes
-
Integrate sensors into processors, debug, solder, and analyze hardware circuits
-
Develop hardware prototypes and visit prototyping labs daily in Munich for Proof of Concept (PoC) development

Integrate and configure sensor data for cloud connectivity
-
Communicate and define requirements with AI/ML, energy, RF and electrical experts
A convincing background:
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in RF Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field
-
Familiarity with RF electronics and various wireless technologies
-
Strong understanding of signal analyzer and signal generator measurements, such as phase noise, EVM, EMI, noise figure, or noise floor; experience with R&S products is a plus

Familiarity with RF simulation tools, such as HFSS, CST, or ADS, is a plus
-
Basic understanding of antenna design and performance evaluation

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Proficiency with PCB design tools, preferably Eagle or Altium Designer

Solid knowledge of hardware and processors (e.g., ARM, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson Nano)

Experience using common test and troubleshooting equipment, such as oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers, and multimeters

Hands-on experience with embedded system hardware development

Fluency in English; German is optional
