Our Team
The Digital & Automation team develops and manages the main digital touchpoints, including the mobile app as the primary channel for customer interaction, the public website and B2B and B2C customer areas, as well as ecosystems for self-service, sales, and engagement. At the center of this landscape stands the new E.ON App, which represents the cornerstone of the company’s digital strategy in Italy: it acts as the key touchpoint to enable customer relationships, accelerate self-service adoption, enhance the user experience, and unlock new commercial opportunities, including those driven by AI and personalization.
Within this context, we are looking for a Mobile Software Engineer to contribute to the development and continuous evolution of the E.ON App, working on a product used by hundreds of thousands of users. Beyond hands-on development, the role also includes a strong tech leadership component, with responsibility for defining software development guidelines, promoting engineering best practices, and providing technical direction to external vendor teams to ensure high quality, architectural consistency, and scalable growth of the solution. Close and ongoing collaboration with central teams across Germany and other European regions is also an integral part of the role, making a solid command of English essential.
Your Field of Play
Mobile Development
- Develop mobile interfaces using React Native & TypeScript
- Build reusable and scalable components
- Maintain code quality and structure
- Evolve the design system
- Optimize performance and fix bugs
Integration & Architecture
- Work with REST APIs
- Handle state management and data parsing
- Integrate with enterprise systems
- Support authentication flows (CIAM, Okta/Auth0)
UX, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Apply UI/UX best practices
- Participate in build, test, release processes
- Monitor issues and manage anomalies
CMS & Content
- Integrate with Adobe AEM
- Collaborate with editorial/content teams
Tech Leadership Component
- Define development guidelines
- Promote engineering best practices
- Provide technical guidance to external vendors
- Ensure scalability and architectural consistency
Ways of Working
- Agile/Scrum environment
- Code reviews, unit testing, quality focus
- Cross-functional collaboration
Are you a Playmaker?
- 3–5 years experience in mobile development
- Strong experience with React Native
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies
- English (required) due to international collaboration
Tools / Technologies
- Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of authentication systems, such as CIAM (Okta/Auth0)
- Adobe AEM
