At EG.D, we ensure that electricity reaches customers quickly, safely, and reliably. That is why we constantly maintain, develop, and digitize our distribution network. In addition, we take care of the electricity meters that people have at home, at their cottages, or in their offices. Every day, we are in contact with our customers, traders, producers, the market operator, and other distribution system operators.
The Energy Networks Procurement team is responsible for ensuring the supply of materials and services for EG.D, s.r.o., in areas directly related to regulated activities and the distribution network. We work closely with our headquarters in Germany to define procurement strategies and continuously optimize our supplier portfolio across categories.
In this role you will
- be responsible for the development and implementation of procurement strategies for HV, MV, and LV cables, as well as cable accessories
- coordinate regional strategies across CEE and SVE and present key outcomes and decisions at E.ON Group level
- contribute to international tender processes conducted in line with public procurement legislation, as well as manage local tenders
- be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and concluding commercial contracts
- ensure regular reporting of financial and technical KPIs to our headquarters in Essen
- proactively drive the optimization and development of strategic suppliers
- play a key role in managing supply chain risks, with a focus on availability, quality, and ESG
- build strong and effective relationships with internal stakeholders, central procurement teams in Germany, and colleagues across regional units
What we expect from you?
- You have a university degree in a technical field (ideally electrical engineering) or in economics.
- You possess strong user knowledge of MS Office.
- You have previous experience with SAP, which is considered a plus.
- You speak business-fluent English, preferably at a C1 level (minimum B2).
- You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You feature effective negotiation skills and a willingness to travel internationally.
- You maintain a team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in cross-functional environments and on various projects.
- You show a high level of commitment and reliability.
- You exhibit flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- You possess a strong analytical mindset combined with sound judgment and a pragmatic approach.
- You have a basic understanding of commercial law and a general awareness of public procurement regulations.
