Here's what you'll be doing

Base location – Rochdale

Salary – £21,613 - £28,254 plus excellent company benefits

Full time – 37 hours, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 16.30

Here's what you will be doing

 

You’ll be responsible for carrying out a variety of administrative tasks and providing excellent service to our customers ensuring work meets acceptable level.

 

Assisting in the preparation and management of documentation in accordance with the relevant procedures.

 

You’ll also take ownership of complaints, ensuring they are managed correctly and appropriately in line with the company policy on complaint handling.

 

Not only will you liaise with a variety of customers, you’ll also build and maintain relationships with colleagues across Lighting & Grid and the wider business.

 

This role brings the opportunity to make improvements to the way that we do things as we constantly strive to improve our processes.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective programming of work using Dynamics to meet customer and company timescales.
  • When needed attend regular briefings, participating in feedback processes and raising questions to ensure personal understanding at all times.
  • Taking an active part in personal development to ensure abilities are maximised to the benefit of the Lighting and Grid activity.

What we need from you

  • Have or be working towards a relevant business qualification e.g. NVQ level 2 Business Administration or above, customer service or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and technologically adept.
  • Knowledge of and experience of raising purchase orders and invoicing.
  • Have the desire to help, service and meet the needs of customers.
  • Be able to tackle problems in a logical way taking into account all relevant information.
  • Take responsibility for solving a problem and seeing it through.
  • Engage in regular meetings / briefings as requested.
  • Have a working knowledge of the customer service and guarantees of service requirements.
  • Oral communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with staff, colleagues and customers.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and schedule own workload to meet the requirements of their own team.
  • The ability to work under pressure, make decisions and meet tight deadlines.
  • Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and produce it in a clear and logical format.

 

It would be great if you have

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Highways lighting experience.
  • Previous admin experience.
