As the Data Governance Lead within our UK Digital Technology team, you will take ownership of data governance and management across our data and analytics platform. You’ll ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, data management standards, and related policies, while engaging with stakeholders and platform users to embed best practices and foster a culture of data accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead data governance and data management for E.ON UK’s data and analytics platform, ensuring alignment with overall UK and Group standards.
- Own and manage the platform’s access policy, ensuring data owners have visibility and control over data access.
- Drive data incident management in collaboration with the DPO and security teams.
- Cascade Group data governance guidance to UK and central function Data Owners, ensuring awareness and adherence.
- Champion the rollout, adoption, and training for data governance tools and support stakeholder upskilling.
- Provide data governance input into UK Digital Technology projects, aligning with the broader data technology strategy.
- Represent the UK data team across E.ON Digital Technology (EDT), other regions, and external partners, fostering collaboration and innovation.
What we need from you
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in data governance and management, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proven experience implementing data governance tools, technologies, and processes, with a focus on thorough documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and compliance with governance policies.
- Excellent communicator, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships across functions, including with external partners and vendors.
