ICP Design Manager

Here's what you'll be doing

Base location – Coventry, Derby and Northampton (Hybrid - flexible)

Salary - £58,693 - £71,634 plus excellent employee benefits and career progression

 

The Lighting & Grid business have decades of experience providing energy efficient street lighting solutions and grid connections across the UK.  From small scale projects to district lighting to new developments.

Here's what you will be doing

In this role you will be building the design team for our EHV/HV Delivery model, ensuring we are delivering quick turnaround on all requests and to the highest standards.

 

You will be driving the team to deliver on the below requirements;

  • Producing preliminary and detailed engineering designs from LV – 132kV.
  • Liaising with DNO to get design approval.
  • Leading on the management of the customer through the design process.
  • Project cost estimates and reports.
  • Obtaining technical or major procurement item quotations.
  • Assisting and mentoring  team members in their development.
  • Checking quality and technicalities of work produced by other team members.

What we need from you

  • Significant, demonstrable experience in Electrical Distribution Design up to and including 33kV or possess extensive and specialist experience within LV or 11kV.
  • A highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be confident in a client facing role. 
  • Possess a Degree or Qualification in a relevant Engineering subject.
  • Experienced in using AutoCAD software.
  • Experienced in using Windebut Software.
  • Experienced with using ERACS or other Power system software.

 

It would be great if you have

  • Up to date BS7671 wiring regulation certificate.
