We are looking for an IT Project & Solution Manager in our IT Continuous Delivery team based in Milan, with a primary focus on the Meter to Cash & Energy Markets area, with the goal of leading and coordinating IT and Digital projects, actively contributing to the technological transformation of the company within the Energy & Utilities sector. The IT Project & Solution Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of IT and Digital projects within the Energy & Utilities domain, acting as a key interface between business and technical teams. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive attitude toward delivering value through technology.
Main responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management, from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budget.
Gather and analyze business requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders to translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Draft and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency for development and testing teams.
Support testing phases, including integration tests, defect management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet quality and business expectations.
Coordinate cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams, ensuring collaboration, task alignment, and timely delivery across multiple streams.
Manage project stakeholders at all levels, fostering transparent and continuous communication between IT and business functions.
Monitor project performance, manage risks and issues proactively, and propose corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure the application of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices in line with organizational standards (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall depending on the context).
Produce and present regular project reports, dashboards, and updates to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
Contribute to the evolution of digital and IT solutions, promoting innovation and continuous improvement in processes and technologies.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in managing or supporting IT projects, preferably in the Energy & Utilities sector or in similar complex, regulated industries.
Knowledge and experience with billing, metering and credit systems, preferably with Net@ and SAP platforms.
Proven experience in end-to-end integration projects involving Salesforce CRM, with a solid understanding of data flows and system interoperability.
Good understanding of functional processes related to metering, billing, and credit, including their interdependencies across systems.
Familiarity with payment systems and platforms (e.g., Nexi, PayPal, PagoPA) and experience in integrating IT systems with banking and financial institutions.
Knowledge of Market Communication integration processes and systems related to the Sistema Informativo Integrato (SII), such as DiscoHub systems, such as TC2Next, and other relevant tools.
Solid understanding of project management principles and familiarity with Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and/or Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt based on project needs.
Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical documentation.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams across departments.
Excellent analytical thinking and a structured problem-solving approach.
A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, propose improvements, and drive change.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas, issues, and solutions.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
