npower Business Solutions powered by E.ON is the leading energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Development Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work in partnership with various teams to develop and deliver learning frameworks, plans and interventions required to enable People Development (PD) across I&C, contributing to achievement of strategic goals. You will provide an end-to-end service, from consultative guidance through to practical solutions to drive projects and initiatives where learning is needed for business performance to grow and develop. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 1-2 days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Work on a variety of projects focussed on People Development topics, including management and leadership development, skills and capability development, and performance culture, ensuring solutions are delivered to timely and high-quality standards, and enabling delivery of I&C and People team strategic goals.
- Scope, design and deliver learning solutions working and collaborating with managers and wider stakeholders to develop and implement, leveraging existing solutions where possible.
- Develop and implement learning opportunities for managers, leveraging E.ON UK and wider solutions, and enabling wider performance culture development.
- Support the embedding of performance culture, mindset and behaviours, through consultation with managers and collaboration with other teams in I&C and E.ON UK.
- Support future skills and capabilities development in I&C, developing or curating learning as needed and leveraging E.ON UK opportunities where possible.
- Develop the I&C onboarding framework and solutions, further enhancing the new joiner experience and line manager tools and support.
- Ensure that learning strategies and solutions are congruent with and supportive of I&C culture (language, tone, style etc).
- Continually bring external trends and ideas in the PD arena to conversation with the PD, People and business teams.
What we need from you
- People Development/Learning & Development (L&D) experience in a business environment.
- Understanding and experience of PD/L&D concepts and topics, working with whole learning cycle, including developing and delivering a range of learning and development solutions.
- Good communication skills in sharing/presenting information and engaging fully with stakeholders.
- The ability to think creatively, shape and propose new ideas.
- Experience of coaching and/or mentoring colleagues.
It would be great if you had
- Audio and/or video production and editing skills, in addition to skills in editing existing digital content if needed using Articulate 360 and Vyond tools.
- Understanding of change approaches and processes and how they work in a business environment.
- Knowledge of the UK Energy Industry and retail energy environments.
