Here's what you'll be doing

Join us as a Senior Finance Business Partner within the E.ON Next Solutions business. With ambitious growth projections, we are dedicated to upholding stringent financial rigour, governance, and controls. As a trusted partner to the Solutions Senior Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in controlling and business partnering across our dynamic organisation. Serving as the primary point of contact for the Solutions business management team, you will develop key relationships across E.ON Next Finance.   • Effective management of relationships with key customers (e.g. Solutions Operational Leaders and their teams) and stakeholders within E.ON Next, Finance, and wider the E.ON businesses.
  • Provide effective financial partnership in order to support and challenge the formulation and execution of operational strategies to optimise long term value and delivery of immediate financial objectives.
  • Delivery of accurate and timely management accounts and month end reporting.
  • To deliver decision support and analytics to the Operational teams, including the financial appraisal of investment proposals, benefits reviews etc.
  • Ensure the effective operation of appropriate governance and controls within Operational sponsored projects/initiatives
  • Act as an interface to the wider business on the economic implications of commercial trends or strategies
  • To provide input to the planning process on the financial impacts of any planned Operational efficiency and effectiveness initiatives
  • Exhibit exemplary behaviours and create and promote an environment which strives for continuous improvement and the implementation of best practice
  • Improve processes and continue to drive efficiency within the Solutions Finance team, utilising support from other specialist areas as and when required.

What we need from you

Essential

  • Previous experience in financial planning and reporting with demonstrable understanding of and improving core finance processes, controls, management accounting, forecasting, reporting
  • Ability to proactively identify key issues and opportunities, create clarity and insight and provide effective support and challenge to senior customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to deal effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels of the business.
  • An innovative approach, driving imaginative solutions to problems (including Financial Reporting issues) and capable of challenging conventional business thinking.
  • Membership of a professional accounting institute (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Energy, drive, determination, and enthusiasm.

Desirable

  • Prior experience of challenging, influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Prior experience of driving change through ways of working, identifying opportunities for commercial optimisation and unlocking value.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • An understanding of the solutions business within Residential
