We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our team based at Westwood or Nottingham Trinity House. This role is paying from £75,000 to £85,000 along with a market leading benefits package.

Senior Finance Manager - City Energy Partnerships

Here's what you'll be doing

Join our team as a Senior Finance Manager for the Coventry Strategic Energy Partnership and new City bids. In this role, you will manage all finance-related endeavours, including business planning, performance reporting, investment case development, and governance oversight. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Energy Infrastructure Solutions Finance and will work hand in hand with the Cities team to drive financial excellence and support strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as Key finance decision maker in City Bids and be E.ON’s day-to-day Finance interface with all internal & external stakeholders
  • Lead the development of business cases for City schemes using your financial and commercial acumen to drive decision making
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external, internal stakeholders and outsourced partners, at all levels
  • Work in multi-disciplined project teams supporting contractual negotiations with external parties
  • Lead implementation of relevant financial processes, planning, reporting and governance
  • Lead ongoing financial management and delivery of business case KPIs
  • Engage with Treasury/external counterparties to bring in any external financing as needed
  • Exhibit exemplary behaviours and create and promote an environment which strives for continuous improvement and the implementation of best practice
  • Drive open, honest and high performing culture and lead on cross team initiatives.

What we need from you

  • Established Finance professional already operating at Senior Manager level and demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify key issues, create clarity and insight and provide effective support and challenge to customers and stakeholders
  • Experience of implementing and managing core financial processes to appropriate level of rigour
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across external and internal stakeholders
  • An innovative approach, driving imaginative solutions to problems and capable of challenging conventional business thinking
  • Energy, drive, determination and enthusiasm and an ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Financial Professional with relevant qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Be flexible to travel as needed
