Salary - £36,659 - £49,250 plus excellent employee benefits and career progression

 

We are looking for a Supervisor to join our Lighting & Grid business on a permanent basis. In this role you will supervise and develop the operational delivery teams of the Lighting and Grid New Business section in the North. Work closely with the Construction Manager and Contract Manager and Commercial team in building effective and beneficial relationships with existing and new customers to deliver Street lighting and ICP projects.

 

You will establish, develop and manage key relationships with customers (both current and potential) to assist in the delivery of the Lighting and Grid business growth plan, and maximise profitability. To proactively interface with different areas of the E.ON business, and maintain clear and effective communication links to help promote lighting and grid in the wider business.

 

Key Activities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Client.
  • Deliver programme and deliver projects in line with clients requirements. 
  • Help deliver the lighting and grid growth plan effectively whilst focussing on quality, environment, Health and Safety, Information security and asset management.
  • Help Deliver key financial targets, including EBITDA and GM.
  • Supervise operational teams with efficiency and safety as best practices.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Developing & support working relationship with a wide range of organisations including suppliers, consultants and other utility companies.
  • Supervise the operational teams in the efficient delivery of multiple schemes Including Street lighting construction and maintenance, ICP connection (DNO and IDNO), EV schemes.
  • Maximising profit through efficient working.
  • By personal example, support an environment that promotes rapid and continuous improvement and the development of high performing teams.
  • Be proactive about and take ownership of all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental issues related to work and the impact on ourselves and others.

What we need from you

  • A relevant Electrcial Engineering Qualification.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Good supervisory skills. 
  • An understanding of the key issues & challenges relating to ICP Connections.
  • Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and produce it in a clear and logical format.
  • The ability to make decisions and meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to self motivate as an individual and at team level.
  • A pro-active and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Oral and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with staff, colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear concise reports.
  • A working knowledge of mainframe and PC based computer systems and the ability to adapt quickly to changes to those systems.
