npower Business Solutions (nBS) powered by E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transaction Manager to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of bespoke customer deals within the I&C sector. This includes Supply, Generation Services, and Data & Metering Services deals. The role manages the Transaction Approval Request (TAR) process, ensuring that all deals are commercially viable, operationally feasible, and legally compliant. This role is based in Solihull, with hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight for the development and delivery of bespoke deals, ensuring alignment with business strategy and effective integration into operations.
- Lead the Transaction Approval Request (TAR) process to facilitate timely internal approvals and enhance efficiency.
- Drive bespoke product innovation by overseeing the entire product development lifecycle. Collaborate with internal teams to assess feasibility, manage commercial risks, and evaluate business cases for new product initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Legal, Bid Management, Marketing and E.ON Energy Markets, to balance deal value and resource capacity.
- Prioritise the bespoke deal pipeline, ensuring timely resource allocation.
- Monitor and report on the performance of bespoke deals and product offerings, providing insights.
- Track bespoke requests and collaborate with Product Management to identify structures suitable for standardisation.
- Provide insights to inform business decisions, maintain a dynamic view of bespoke deals, and deliver monthly KPI reports.
- Mentor the Transaction team, promoting a culture of high performance and professional growth.
What we need from you
- Good understanding of power, gas, and generation markets, with knowledge of evolving energy solutions market.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Track record of managing and delivering change
- Commercial acumen and risk management experience.
- The ability to convert external needs, regulatory changes, competitor changes into clearly defined action.
- Experience in working with complex legal documents and managing contractual risks.
