Health & Safety is a number one priority here at E.ON, therefore we’re looking for a Senior Safety Advisor who will provide operational competent Health & Safety support whilst also supporting the design, development, delivery and management of an Integrated Management System and assurance framework.
This broad role sits across our UK Solutions pillar, offering health and safety support to a variety of UK solutions businesses including City Energy Solutions, our district heating business unit and Lighting & Grid, our streetlighting and signalling business unit. Key responsibilities include
- Providing competent safety support to UK Solutions businesses, business improvement projects and working groups.
- Ensuring the effective and timely review, classification and investigation of incidents.
- Supporting the design, development and delivery of the UK Solutions Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with legal and group requirements.
- Managing and delivering specific safety compliance and assurance testing.
- Undertaking Safety and Environmental Risk profiling, insight analysis and reporting.
- Supporting technical risk assessment studies.
- Oversight and management of Contractor Safety and Engagement evaluation processes.
- Supporting UK Solutions businesses in meeting their regulatory requirements and dealing with the external regulators/auditors/compliance scheme operators.
- Supporting the development and implementation of digital platforms.
- Supporting UK Solutions businesses in meeting their regulatory requirements and dealing with the external regulators/auditors/compliance scheme operators as required.
- Maintaining working knowledge of relevant H&S legislation.
What we need from you
- Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma standard, or equivalent.
- Experience of providing competent H&S advice within the construction/utilities industry.
- Knowledge of H&S management system standards and their implementation including ISO45001.
- Experience of conducting internal H&S audits and leading H&S incident investigations.
- Highly skilled in analysis, report creation and written communication.
- A broad understanding of relevant HSE legislation and regulations.
- A proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions.
- Project management and planning skills, with ability to self-manage and meet committed deadlines.
- An innovative approach, suggesting imaginative solutions to problems and challenging established thinking.
- Full EU/UK driving license.
It would be great if you had
- Experience of occupational health assessment e.g., noise, HAVS etc and associated management of health surveillance requirements.
- Experience in technical risk assessment e.g., fire risk assessment etc.
Here’s what you need to know
- The salary for this role is £47,276 - £60,361.
- This role can be based from our offices in Coventry or Nottingham.
- We operate a hybrid working approach with a blend of office working and home working. On average you’ll be in the office 2-3 days a week.
- This role will require regular UK wide travel to visit sites and offices.
- This is a permanent role.
