Settlements Specialist (Flexibility)

Here's what you'll be doing

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy? We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team. You’ll be at the heart of our Trade Operations processes, supporting the UK’s transition to a smarter, greener energy system, particularly through our battery assets and customer flexibility initiatives.

Duties will include:

    • Lead the settlement and invoicing of energy transactions for battery storage and flexibility products.
    • Design and implement settlement solutions and frameworks, ensuring compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory standards.
    • Manage industry setup for assets under the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC).
    • Analyse and report on industry and wholesale costs, identifying anomalies and driving improvements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to influence decisions and deliver robust operational solutions.
    • Support the development and maintenance of ETRM and associated systems.
    • Ensure all activities align with our Governance Framework and contribute to continuous process optimisation.

What we need from you

  • A strong background in the energy industry, particularly in energy trading and flexibility markets.
  • Proven experience in transaction handling, settlement, and billing in commodity markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a structured, self-motivated approach to work.
  • Proficiency in ETRM systems and Microsoft Excel, with an understanding of finance system integration.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • A commitment to commercial success and operational excellence.
