Here's what you'll be doing
The Commercial Analyst will support commercial decision-making by delivering accurate financial modelling, insightful analysis, and high-quality reporting across key business areas. The role will also contribute to digitalisation and automation initiatives that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of commercial processes.
Key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the asset valuation process, ensuring accurate calculations in line with established commercial frameworks.
- Assist in the ongoing review and enhancement of commercial frameworks to reflect market trends and internal policy updates
- Produce clear, commercial data insights and analysis to support business decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to develop accurate and timely reports for senior management
- Build and run commercial models to evaluate project performance KPIs such as IRR and payback periods
- Support the digitalisation of commercial modelling processes, including supporting the implementation of models into Digital Platforms
- Support automation and digitalisation initiatives across reporting to improve efficiency and data integrity
- Conduct detailed analysis of commercial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
What we need from you
- Experience in a commercial analyst role, preferably within the regulated energy sector.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience in financial modelling, forecasting, ROI and problem solving.
- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to asset management and billing.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
