Commercial/Industrial Electrician (EV Installer)

Here's what you'll be doing

Are you a Commercial/Industrial Electrician looking for an exciting new role? If so we want to hear from you!

E.ON Drive is the E-mobility business of E.ON and has a presence across Europe as one of the biggest e-mobility suppliers.  We install both residential and workplace charging across the UK and work with a range of partners to deliver solutions into their businesses.

With the Government mandate that car companies will no longer be allowed to manufacture any new conventional petrol or diesel cars from 2030, the Electric Vehicle (EV) market is one of the fasting growing markets and will change the way we travel. The demand for new EV's is growing at a faster rate than the charging infrastructure it needs to support this growth can be installed. At E.ON we are driving the way forward for how we install EV charging points to try and meet this demand and, as a result, we now need to grow our current team.

Right now, we’re looking for time-served, experienced Industrial & Commercial Electricians to join E.ON and receive full training to become EV Installers at Northampton. This is an amazing opportunity to expand your skills and join a growing, innovative business where the sky is the limit!

You’ll be responsible for

  • The efficient delivery of Commercial & Industrial electrical installations from start to finish.
  • Carrying out various aspects of testing, inspection and commissioning of EV Charging installs, ensuring a high quality is maintained at all times.
  • Providing customer support and interaction during electrical installs.

  • Supervising colleagues and external contractors.
  • Ensuring personnel, and possibly sub-contractors, under their control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements.
  • Taking full ownership for personal health and safety responsibilities and that of the team, ensuring PPE is worn at all times.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining safe working practices.

What we need from you

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or training programme.
