Contract- 12-month Fixed Term
Location – Kingswinford, Coventry or Nottingham with hybrid working. Involving travel to other sites when required.

Right now, we’re looking for an Environmental Compliance Advisor to join our team. Here you’ll provide expert environmental advice and guidance, using effective risk control systems, procedures and standards.
This broad role will cover legislative, policy and good practice compliance in addition to technical management and support of environmental compliance requirements.
Providing technical environmental compliance subject matter expertise, in particular regarding environmental permitting and consenting requirements, within an ISO14001 framework to meet business demand for environmental compliance support.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical expert environmental advice to support EIS in meeting their regulatory environmental requirements and liaise with the external regulators/auditors/compliance scheme operators as required.
- Liaising with external regulators, auditors and compliance scheme operators as required.
- Maintain tools and systems needed to determine and report on environmental compliance activities
- Contribute to the delivery of carbon CO2 emissions verification and surrender of corresponding allowances for all activities under the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS).
- Maintaining expert knowledge of relevant environmental legislation both current and planned.
- Supporting specific environmental compliance processes as directed.
- Representing E.ON in cross-industry working groups as required.
- Acting with the delegated authority of the Senior Environmental Manager when nominated.
- Maintaining competency on specialised areas of subject matter expertise.
- Support the business in the implementation of an integrated management system approach to deliver continuous environmental improvement.
What we need from you
- An Environmental related degree or a minimum 5 years’ experience in an environmental role, preferably in the combustion or industrial sector.
- Experience of ISO14001.
- Expert understanding of relevant environmental legislation and regulation sufficient to be able to deliver effective environmental subject matter expertise in an Energy Solutions Business.
- Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, and a commitment to personal development.
- A proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions
- Working knowledge of policies and procedures which affect the management of the business activities relevant to the role
- Project management and planning skills, with ability to meet committed deadlines
- Highly skilled, analysis and report creation and writing skills
- Full EU/UK Driver’s license required
