Are you ready to take a leading role in managing multi-utility connections on residential building projects across the UK? E.ON is looking for a permanent skilled and experienced ICP Project Engineer to join our ICP Residential Team.
You will be responsible for estimating and management of multi utility ICP Residential schemes, utilising internal and external staff, for delivery of projects throughout the UK. Taking decisions to ensure processes are developed to maximise the benefit to the business.
Main responsibilities of the role
- The ICP multi-utility Project Engineer will work with and support the Project Supervisor, ICP Residential Manager and other members of the ICP Residential Team in the estimating and delivery of all aspects of multi-utility connections on residential building sites.
- Responsible for the management of connections to electrical networks at Low and High Voltage.
- Responsible for liaison with market partners for obtaining and managing contracts for multi-utility ICP Residential projects.
- Managing multiple projects are different stages and prioritising workload according to the demands of internal and external stakeholders.
- Adherence to E.ON Energy Solutions Electrical Safety Management System, host multi-utility operations and procedures for all aspect of multi-utility works.
- Work with the colleagues within the ICP Residential Team to ensure that all programmes of work are delivered to time, budget and quality.
- Provide technical support and act as appoint of reference for the Construction teams.
- Working across the management team establish, practices to maximise value across all projects and understand the customer’s needs and ensure projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, sub-contractors and team members to meet the customer service and guarantees of service requirements.
- Ensuring that all work and safety initiatives can comply with legislation e.g. CDM, Electricity at Work Act, HASAWA, NRSWA and other legislation and raising the awareness of internal staff.
- Responsible for supporting an environment that promotes rapid and continuous improvement and the development of high performing teams.
What we need from you
- The ability to understand a wide range of drawings and information to enable accurate estimating of multi utility schemes.
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders including sub-contractor management.
- A relevant engineering or business qualification.
- Working knowledge of distribution LV/HV Systems.
- Will have knowledge and experience of multiple electrical distribution networks preferably with previous experience with a Distribution Network Operator (DNO).
- Will have knowledge and experience of gas and water networks – processes of design, build and adoption of these networks. Including asset values and NAVs.
- Operated in a commercial environment, with a track record of developing key customer relationships, subcontractor management and delivering multi utility projects.
- The ability to make decisions and meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to self-motivate as an individual and at team level with a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving.
- Oral and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with staff, colleagues and customers
- A working knowledge of PC based computer systems and the ability to adapt quickly to changes to those systems
- Knowledge and experience of managing the engagement of subcontractors including assessing competence to deliver estimates and management of multi-utility projects.
- Deliver continuous improvement across all operations and service processes that enhances customer experience and business efficiency and reduces costs.
- Manage business risks and organisation reputation effectively through regular assessment and management of risks and issues.
- Lead, motivate and manage the team to meet operational requirements and manage performance that inspires excellence in terms of customer focus, commercial focus and innovative solutions.
