Salary: £68,827-£82,182 + Company car/ car allowance (This role involves regular travel as required)
Flexible base location (Coventry, Nottingham, Kingswinford)
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Project Manager to manage and develop a team of project managers and site managers/supervisors within our LV to HV/EHV connections projects.
You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring cost-effective, technically compliant, and safe delivery from conception to commissioning. Your leadership will be key in fostering a strong SHE culture and ensuring projects meet key milestones, budgets, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote SHE culture, ensuring safety through early development and risk-minimising designs.
- Ensure compliance with NERS, CDM, and all relevant legislation.
- Manage project portfolio to meet milestones and deliverables, ensuring resource allocation aligns with workload and budget.
- Approve project scope, plans, and costs, providing leadership and controlling team activities against budget.
- Optimise resource planning and performance in collaboration with the HO ICP and others to improve delivery methods.
- Support the commercial team in managing project costs and profit margins.
- Own project procedures and drive continuous improvement.
- Establish strong relationships with supply chain representatives to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct site inspections, quality benchmarking, and manage safety, health, and environmental matters.
- Perform safety audits, assist in risk assessments and investigations, and report progress to senior management.
What we need from you
- Significant and demonstrable Electrical Experience within ICP delivery of HV /EHV Networks
- Electrical Qualification – in electrical engineering or related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of CDM and NEC form contracts.
- High level of experience in HV jointing and NERS (National Energy Registration) processes and procedures
- Self-motivated, driven to achieve results, and able to motivate staff to meet tight deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
