We are looking for a Obligation Delivery - Health, Safety, Security & Environment Advisor  to join our team to be based from home, with travel required. This role is paying from £44,199 to £56,115 along with a market leading benefits package and a company car.

Here's what you'll be doing

We are seeking a dedicated Obligation Delivery - Health, Safety, Security & Environment Advisor to support the delivery of our energy efficiency obligations and targets. In this role, you will work with external service providers and delivery partners to achieve best-in-class HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) compliance. You will collaborate to develop and implement effective risk identification and control systems, procedures, and standards. Additionally, you will provide competent HSSE advice and support to internal stakeholders, including Line Managers and staff, helping them meet their responsibilities in daily operations. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders by participating in HSSE performance or operational meetings to ensure HSSE considerations in business plans and strategies.
• Support the development of contractor HSSE improvement plans with delivery partners.
• Provide practical HSSE solutions to operational teams' queries and support target delivery.
• Advise on HSSE standards in management and site meetings, focusing on construction regulations and E.ON policy.
• Assist Line Managers with risk assessments of new or changed work activities and develop appropriate risk control measures.
• Guide the development of H&S procedures, safe work systems, and risk control measures.
• Support the selection, onboarding, and management of contractors and sub-contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and share findings with contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop trend analysis and actionable contractor feedback within the team.
• Maintain the incident reporting tool PRISMA, investigate incidents, and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Report RIDDOR incidents as required by law.
• Identify and coordinate training and development for managers, safety representatives, and employees.
• Work with L&D to create and deliver training packages and communications.
• Produce safety communications and briefings to raise awareness and influence behavior changes.
• Conduct installer evaluations and audits to ensure robust controls.
• Develop HSSE performance updates and reports as needed.

What we need from you

  • To have or be working towards NEBOSH General and or construction certificate or equivalent
  • A detailed understanding of relevant H&S legislation and standards including HASAWA, Construction Design and Management.
  • A proven ability to advise on compliance matters at operational levels / department activities to a successful conclusion.
  • Demonstrable experience in risk management and assessment of Construction associated risks
  • Demonstrable understanding of suitable and sufficient Safe systems of work in a construction environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan and manage your own workload
  • Full EU/UK driving license required. Regular travel and occasional overnight stays may be required
