Energy Coaching Manager

Location: Solihull or Leeds (Hybrid) involving travelling to other sites as required.
Salary: £49,995-£63,832

At E.ON I&C, we’re on a mission to empower businesses with actionable energy insights that drive real change. As our Energy Coaching Manager, you’ll lead a pioneering team dedicated to helping our customers make sense of their energy data through ‘My Energy Coach’.

Your role will be to develop, coach, and inspire a team of experts, ensuring they provide businesses with industry-leading energy coaching, actionable insights, and tailored strategies to improve efficiency, cut costs, and reduce carbon emissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing energy coaching team, ensuring they become the UK’s go-to experts in energy efficiency.
  • Launch and evolve the ‘My Energy Coach’ proposition, keeping it ahead of competitors and ensuring customer needs are prioritised.
  • Drive continuous innovation, using AI and automation to improve coaching methods and enhance customer engagement.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds targets.
  • Deliver training and empower sales teams, ensuring they can effectively communicate the benefits of energy coaching.
  • Provide expert insights and bespoke reports, helping businesses understand energy consumption and identify savings opportunities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with industry experts to enhance energy coaching services and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Support B2B customers in setting and achieving energy goals, offering tailored coaching and practical solutions.
  • Identify and drive cross-sell opportunities, ensuring customers benefit from a full suite of energy management solutions.
  • Optimise the customer journey, delivering high-quality service and technical support at every touchpoint.

What we need from you

  • Proven experience of coaching and leading new teams, including designing and implementing training programs and resources that drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent awareness and understanding of the B2B Energy market with experience of using energy management platforms.
  • Strong ability to develop and manage data analysis and visualisation tools.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a drive to deliver a best-in-class customer coaching experience.
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement new coaching techniques or digital tools that enhance customer experience and engagement
  • Experience of working in the energy Sector and knowledge of energy related regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience of presenting data insights in a clear and engaging way.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships
  • Able to interpret complex data and make meaningful recommendations
  • Commercial awareness of cross selling / upselling additional products and services

It would be great if you had

  • Expert knowledge of data and metering products and services
  • Knowledge of metering supported IT systems, business developed applications, complex customer portfolios
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting perspectives
