We're looking for a PR Manager to join our External Affairs team on a 12-month secondment, helping to promote and protect E.ON UK's corporate reputation and policy agenda. This role will either be based at our Citigen site in London, our Trinity office in Nottingham, or our Solihull office and also offers a hybrid working model. Reporting to the Corporate PR Lead, you will deliver high-quality, strategically placed media and content across national, regional and trade media. You'll play a key role in communicating E.ON's purpose, products, innovation, and social impact, demonstrating how we're making new energy work for everyone. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure consistent messaging, manage sensitive issues, and help E.ON remain a credible, trusted, and proactive voice in the energy sector.

PR Manager

Here's what you'll be doing

  • Deliver corporate storytelling and content that engages media and stakeholders, aligned to E.ON UK’s strategy and objectives.
  • Coordinate proactive and reactive PR, including managing media enquiries and acting as a point of contact for national and regional media.
  • Manage reputational risk and corporate issues, such as working within the press office and providing cover as part of the on-call rota.
  • Support spokespeople with messaging, briefing materials, and talking points for media interviews and articles
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across social, digital and public affairs teams to ensure alignment with E.ON’s strategy and policy objectives
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on PR and content performance, adopting best practice and recommending opportunities for proactive stories.
  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.

What we need from you

  • Proven experience in PR and communications, including managing corporate reputation, developing creative campaigns, and delivering impactful media coverage.
  • Strong media relations skills, with the ability to manage enquiries and handle sensitive issues confidently and professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging stories.
  • An ability to shape and amplify stories in multiple formats, from social posts and reports  to wider creative copy
  • Strategic, commercial, and political awareness to inform content and communications decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills across complex environments.
  • High integrity, resilience, and agility, with a proactive, creative, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Organised with strong planning, project management, and the ability to deliver effective communications under pressure.
