As the Performance Optimisation Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance, integrity and customer experience of our district energy schemes.

Your impact

As the Lead Performance Optimisation Engineer, you'll be driving innovation and excellence in asset performance. You'll leverage your deep understanding of Energy Centre technology, including control systems, distribution networks, customer heat interface units and heat pumps, to lead end-to-end projects that elevate our fleet of assets. You'll collaborate closely with the Maintenance and Operational teams, ensuring enhancements that span from financial performance to technical integrity.

Key responsibilities include

  • Harnessing extensive knowledge and experience in heat and chill networks.
  • Applying operational insight from energy, petrochemicals, and asset-based industries.
  • Managing commercial and technical performance in power/heat plants.
  • Overseeing on-site projects and engaging stakeholders.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service within a 24/7 environment.
  • Thinking strategically and fostering cross-business commitment.
  • Challenging the status quo to push boundaries forward.
  • Utilising project management expertise.
  • Ensuring health and safety across complex commercial environments.

What we need from you

  • An engineering qualification (degree or HNC) with extensive experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of control systems and control philosophy.
  • Proficiency in designing, commissioning, and maintaining diverse engineering assets.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (CDM, HASWA, IGEM, etc.).
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • IT proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and more.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.

Here’s what you need to know

  • The salary for this role is circa £73,000.
  • This role is based at our Citigen site in Central London with travel predominantly within the London area. You’ll spend around 3 days a week on-site.
  • This role comes with a company car or car allowance of £5,700.
  • There is a London allowance of £3,550.
  • This is a permanent role.
