Join E.ON UK as a Finance Business Partner – Lead Planning & Reporting for Support Functions
Are you a driven finance professional ready to take ownership and make a meaningful impact at E.ON UK?
We are seeking a highly motivated finance professional to join our team, leading planning and reporting across Support Functions. This role will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to E.ON UK Board Directors and Senior Leadership, ensuring a clear understanding of financial performance and cost base. You will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of transformation initiatives across the business.
Main responsibilities of the role
- Lead all financial controlling activities for central support functions (c.£100m p.a.), delivering high-quality reporting, insightful variance analysis and ownership of mid-term planning and forecasting.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, engaging directly with the UK Board and Senior Management.
- Provide proactive financial insight and support for the planning and delivery of transformation projects.
- Own and continuously improve the methodology for recharging support function costs to business areas, ensuring clear communication with business controlling teams.
- Drive efficiency and automation across reporting and planning processes.
- Support the Head of Central Planning & Reporting in coordinating business-wide controlling activities, including reporting, mid-term planning, and forecasting, ensuring a clear framework, defined accountability, and consistent assumptions.
What we need from you
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, up to Board level.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships across a complex organisation.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in delivering and improving core finance processes, including management accounting, forecasting and reporting.
- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive change initiatives.
