Here's what you'll be doing

We’re looking for a Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple Energy Efficiency projects within a defined region. This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance, quality, and effective coordination under CDM Regulations 2015.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that CDM roles are made known to other stakeholders (Client, Principal Designer, Contractors)
  • Prepare a fit for purpose project Construction Phase Plan through the review of sub-contractor documentation, such as Risk Assessments, Training Records and installer competencies.
  • Ensure that Site Inductions are delivered to new people on site and visitors.
  • Ensure that Tool Box Talks are delivered at requisite intervals. Site Specific, relevant to current activities and GFS wide communications issued by SHE Team
  • Perform Work In Progress Safety Inspections. Ensure that all Corrective Actions are completed within requisite timescale, not exceeding a maximum of 10 working days.
  • Support GFS Safety Trend Analysis by utilising Near Miss reporting tool (QR Code). SHEWIP Action = QR Code.
  • Utilise available trend analysis date to contribute to the creation of corrective action plans for Contractors when necessary.
  • Ensure that installs are completed in line with relevant standards, such as PAS2030 and PAS2035, Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), Gas Safe and Building Regulations. This is to be achieved by ensuring an appropriate level of Work in Progress and Site Inspections take place.
  • When required, support and/or motivate the Site Supervisor to ensure that all Corrective Actions are completed within requisite timescale, not exceeding a maximum of 10 working days.
  • Utilise available trend analysis date to contribute to the creation of corrective action plans for Contractors when necessary.
  • Support the Onboarding, Safety & Planning Manager and the Principal Contractor Manager in the creation of Construction Phase programme(s) of work which achieve Project deadline(s) and clearly identify the Critical Path.
  • Ensure clarity of project and property status by ensuring that Construction relevant information is present and accurate on MSD platform.
  • Support the Principal Contractor Manager in managing Contractor Performance.
  • Support the Resident Liaison Officer and/or Site Supervisor to close complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring that Microsoft Dynamics is up to date with relevant information.
  • Work closely with Senior Delivery Manager to ensure that project pipeline(s) are accurately recorded on Microsoft Dynamics and that relevant “gates” are compliantly cleared.

What we need from you

  • Previous Site Management construction experience, holding SMSTS training or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing people.
  • Experience in refurbishment, fabric and/or renewables experience.
  • Competent CDM 2015 (4,5,11) Regulations practitioner
  • Working knowledge of PAS 2035 & PAS2030
  • Holding a valid & appropriate CSCS card.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft 365 applications and programming capabilities.
  • Full driving licence with flexibility to visit nationwide sites including overnight stays when required.

It would be great if you had

  • Experience in working in and around occupied properties.
  • Formal Project Management Qualification such as APM.
  • NEBOSH Construction
  • IOSH Managing Safely
