Hybrid Working - 2 days in office, 3 days at home


As a Smart Performance Lead you’ll work as part of the transformation and governance team to deliver initiatives to improve performance across our Smart Field Connections operation. You will be responsible for the improvement of business processes, systems and performance to improve efficiencies and the way that we work. You’ll also be close to monitoring and reacting to issues, whilst working closely with all involved parties to proactively address any areas of concern.

It will be imperative that you are able to keep up to date with any changes made to existing platforms or new delivery and therefore working closely with your colleagues across Change & Transformation will be vital.

Key to the success of the role is the ability to work with multiple areas of the business and you will act as a liaison between different teams including 3rd parties. You will be required to hold teams to account for delivery of high priority resolutions to ensure operational impacts are minimised. Working relationships are a critical part of this role and you must be able to remain resilient in difficult situations. In addition, you will need the ability to explain technical issues and actions to key stakeholders in a succinct way.

Here's what else you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for understanding the root cause of underperformance across business areas against the key performance metrics and assumptions which make up the smart roll out, get Smart stay Smart plan.  This will involve using performance data to understand trends, as well as working closely with operational teams
  • Responsible for making recommendations to close performance gaps, with scope to make recommendations across people, systems and processes
  • Responsible for making recommendations as to how activities will be delivered and, often in a multi departmental setting, for ensuring that operational teams have the information required to do so successfully.
  • Responsible for ensuring operational delivery of any trials identified by working closely with E.ON IT, Customer & Field Operations, Marketing, local change teams and Regulation. 
  • Delivery of performance improvement initiatives including project planning, stakeholder management and risk/issue mitigation and escalation.
  • Presenting and influencing senior stakeholders to gain support for ideas and activity proposals.
  • Manage evaluating results for all trials including research and liaise with insight and research teams to develop understanding of customer needs.
  • Work closely with local change teams and IT to develop and test supporting customer journeys, processes and systems.
  • Deliver EBIT growth related projects with appropriate governance and project rigour in place.
  • To ensure the appropriate hand over of initiatives and campaigns to other teams within the business
  • Make recommendations for activities – performance initiatives or trials, to close gaps in performance against key metrics
  • Make recommendations on process changes and future campaigns
  • Developing trial scope with operational stakeholders

What we need from you

  • Programme management or project delivery experience required with track record of delivering using appropriate methodology.
  • Entrepreneurial, with a track record of making effective decisions and taking responsibility for targets and goals.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and influence senior stakeholders Aptitude in communicating at all levels and tailoring messages to different audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain focused on outcomes while showing resilience in the face of challenges and obstacles.
  • Ability to identify and measure business benefits and key KPI’s
  • Track record of delivering achievements while working cross functionally
  • Ability to analyse information and make recommendations based on both customer and commercial implications.
  • Experience of working using Six Sigma or Operational Excellence frameworks

Desirable:  

  • Full understanding of Smart systems and processes
  • Commercial decision making
