Here's what you'll be doing
- Lead and manage a portfolio of IT products, ensuring alignment with customer journeys and business objectives.
- A member of the Digital Technology & Change Senior Leadership Team.
- Mentor a team of Product Managers, supporting them in defining roadmaps, prioritising backlogs, and delivering value.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, set priorities, and ensure product outcomes support business growth.
- Monitor product family performance metrics and provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Support the transition to a product operating model by identifying gaps, enabling new ways of working, and mentoring teams.
- Act as a champion of Agile and DevOps practices, driving a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the overall budget for the product portfolio, up to £20m pa.
- Manage Third Party IT suppliers.
What we need from you
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple teams or a portfolio of products.
- Proven track record of IT Product Management and driving customer-focused solutions.
- Deep understanding of product management principles, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with IT suppliers including Software as a Service (SaaS) providers.
Desirable:
- Experience aligning products with customer journeys or business capabilities.
- Familiarity with financial management for product portfolios.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
