Performance & Insight Senior Analyst

Here's what you'll be doing

Npower Business Solutions powered by E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Insight Senior Analyst to join our Mid-Market Growth & Optimisation team. For this role, you will identify trends, providing insight on their underlying causes, and challenge stakeholders where underperformance is identified and develop and drive initiatives to enhance performance. You will have strong organisational skills with ability to collaborate with stakeholders to balance tactical and strategic business priorities. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 1-2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare business cases and forecasts for steering business decisions, being a key interface with Sales, Service and Operation teams.
  • Deliver commercial and operational Continuous Improvement initiatives prioritised by business need and impact based on analysis of segment performance and collaborating closely with stakeholders. 
  • Develop segment and channel strategies to optimise the end-to-end performance, in line with business expectations and market conditions.
  • Understand and interpret internal/external policy/regulation changes and provide recommendations to ensure adherence.
  • Develop initiatives (including process improvements) where compliance levels do not meet targets.
  • Ensure resource planning is in place and meets the segments and channels needs for capacity and skill levels, with appropriate training initiatives in place to support this.
  • Support wider business projects to deliver strategic priorities.

What we need from you

  • High personal and professional integrity with desire to drive the highest quality, customer experience, regulatory and ethical standards.
  • The ability to support and manage multiple stakeholders with different perspectives, needs and priorities in an increasingly cost/investment constrained environment with a passion for delivering financial value, customer, and operational excellence.
  • The ability to plan, report, govern and control associated processes.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret complex, multiple sources of data and insight to optimise financial performance, provide commentary and make strategic recommendations to inform critical business outcomes.
  • Demonstrable coaching capabilities within a multi-functional team of specialists.

It would be great if you had

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of the UK Energy Industry, customers, sales, and service processes.
  • Experience of operating within a complex and rapidly changing market with numerous environmental, economic, political, and technological factors to assess and consider.
